SAAMBAT supports activities at both the national level, and in the target areas. At target level, the Components 1 & 2 strategically focus on the implementation of local activities in 50 Economic Poles (EP). Each EP is an area of approximately District size characterized by an agricultural economy based on smallholder production and defined by physical features such as topography, transport, and market infrastructure or focus on a key-value chain. Each EP will also have skills, digital technology, and enterprise outputs and other outputs according to the real needs.
